The Anglican Diocese of Adelaide is comprised of over 75 worship centres across 59 parishes and is one of 23 dioceses that constitute the Anglican Church of Australia.

We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity available for an Administration Officer. We are not only seeking someone who naturally aligns with our culture but is also connected to contributing to improved outcomes for our Parishes, who are the beating heart of the Diocese.

Reporting to the Synod Operations Manager and working collaboratively with the Ministry and Parish Support team, the Safe Ministry Unit and the Ministry Wellbeing Coordinator and Front of House/Reception you will be responsible for administrative support for Synod Office corporate functions.

Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, consult and negotiate across a range of stakeholder groups (internal and external) is essential.

Ideally, you will have a background of active participation in the Anglican Church or a church of similar ethos.

St Bede’s, Semaphore

 (see Western Partnership information below). St Bede’s is one of three parishes in the Western Suburbs that have agreed to work in partnership. God’s time isn’t always our time, so as this plan unfolds, St Bede’s have asked that a .6FTE vacancy for a priest be advertised. In the longer term, this appointment would become a part of the Western Partnership Leadership Team.

Priest in Charge, Part Time (.5FTE)
St Paul’s, Port Adelaide

Western Partnership: This is a new ministry initiative. The parishes of St Bede’s, Semaphore, St Margaret of Scotland, Woodville, and St Paul’s Port Adelaide have agreed to work in partnership.

This will create one 1.5 FTE vacancy for two priests, as the basis for a Ministry Team. The actual configuration of the FTE is negotiable with the right incumbents. The successful incumbents will have proven experience serving in Team Ministry, be willing to work within a Lay and Clergy Team, good time and work / life management. Experience in transitional ministry and missional approaches to ministry would be advantageous.

Chaplaincy Vacancies

Health Care Chaplaincy (.4FTE Women’s and Children’s Hospital 

This could be a Lay or Ordained appointment. The appointee must be able to be licensed in the Diocese, and meet Local Health Network requirements, have Theological Education qualifications and at least one unit of CPE.
