In order that there may be uniformity of use on the part of the Bishop, Archdeacons, Area Deans, and other Clergy, the following should apply:
-
At the Commissioning of clergy, the Bishop and Archdeacon
and shall wear copes. Choir robes shall be worn by all other clergy
taking part in the Service.
-
At the laying of a foundation stone and at the blessing
of a church, hall, rectory or other formal occasions the same provisions
apply.
- At a service of ordination clergy should wear alb or cassock and surplice, with stole. The colour will be advised (most often it will be white, signifying the relationship of ordination to baptism)
